Well, for awhile, the fuel system has been a bit screwy. Added a Rochester a few years back and did the whole "reverse bell crank" trick with English. We used all sorts of parts and it did work.

The other day the gas pedal was bouncing more than usual. People have been telling me that I drop the clutch a bit. I've always had to hit the gas a bit to get 'er going.

Today I took out about a 1/2 inch of slack all through the system. Simple. Stupid. Easy. Like a whole new vehicle.

Now if I can only get that stalling problem fixed....

My wife has been trying to fix my stalling problem for 17 years now.

I was able to get the fan motor quieter on teh 109 heater only to discover that the entire bottom of the Smith's heater is rotted away-completely unable to push air anywhere but back into the engine compartment! Probably not a bad thing as I think it's missing a t-stat-runs very cool...

Duct-tape.

I'm afraid to touch anything on the bulkhead as it could start a cascade of forced repairs, and besides, the only duct tape I have is red.
Hopefully put a Historic/Antique tag on it this week.

yeah right, you are just too fashion conscious about putting red duct tape on a yellow Series.
