Real nice truck though... Ultimately I want to get a 109" one day..

it's very solid, but it has a cheap overspray paint job (originally blue) the top is in bad shape, and those white wagon wheels have to go. The frame, body, engine, trans and everything else mechanically is great. Trevor is looking it over this week for any other issues. I think overall it's a good truck and it was a great buy imo...

Jessica's gonna want to sit it that truck knowing that Dr. McDreamy may have sat in the same seat.

You better bring this to RC so we can wheel Series style!

Oh and seriously, you have a sickness.:D

Does it have a roof hatch?

I seem to remember the Bucket List trailer showing them standing-up through the roof. I'm doing something similar on my 109...

They are not known as the most reliable engine and fixing them can be expensive. But if it runs, enjoy it.

The 6 cyl engine bay is bigger than the 4 cyl.....more options for engine swaps! Cummins 6bt :D

The engine is overhead-inlet-side-exhaust (oise), isn't it? Kind of a 6-cylinder version of the Series I 4-cylinder in some respects(?).

Derek, maybe you could buy a Pinzgauer at some point (that I could subsequently buy from you after you've had your fun with it)? I had a Steyr-Puch Haflinger once that I wish I'd held onto.

what is that rear seat on? Looks very different from my IIA.

Looks like greasable poly bushings on the TIC springs too. Make sure you keep 'em greased...

Rear seat looks as if it's sitting on wooden blocks, here's a better picture. Not sure what's up with this setup, but doesn't look very original? This is my first 2a and I haven't spent much time around them, so I'm going to have questions. Here are some more pics with the wheels/tires from Galens... eghmm, my s3 88.

I ck'd the seat, but Derek farted on it.

Label: B 251, Serial: 34300249, IN: 11 Jul 1966, OUT: 20 Jul 1966, Colour: Marine Blue, Dispatched: Rover North America, San Francisco

This one is mine, looks like the data sheet shows it as a 1966? is that right? The title says 67. Original color is Marine Blue and the VIN matches...

Tom, no roof hatch, but you can tell this roof has been removed, and it even looks as if it's been welded where a hatch would have gone. There's a seem that looks fresh from the inside.

Here is one shot of the seat supports. Now that you have Series, I hope you know Ike Goss. Neil has his 109 apart and so do I. I'd suggest you take a look at one of them, it really helped me a few years ago to see how and what they should be.http://gallery.roversclub.org/albums/mrzen/DSCF0040_2.jpg

Looks better on those 15" wheels. I hate wagon wheels on a Series.

I have two more of those rims if you are interested. I'll give them to you this weekend if you want. They came with my current truck but I have 16's.

I think I have two more 15's that came with the 110, I'll ask Trevor to check and if so I'll take em... Thanks

some more random pics....

I drove this home today from Trevors, with the Roverdrive I was running 62mph and that was on the smaller tires, not sure of the RPM but it felt comfortable. This truck shifts awesome and actually had very good road manners. I can tell it's been maintained. Very little squeaking and banging running down the road. I was surprised I was driving a series truck. MUCH different then the sIII 88. The engine runs very strong and smooth and quiet! I don't want to jinx it, but this thing runs so strong I'd use it as my daily. I did notice the heat while sitting in traffic on 2nd St. So I don't think it would be very comfortable in the throws of summer. I'd need at least a fan to get the air moving. But I've been spoiled by A/C in the other Rovers.....

...but it has A/C, just open the vents. Think cool thoughts and try to ignore the fact that you are sweat glued to the vinyl seats!
It wouldn't be a Series if it were comfortable :D
Very cool truck. Harrisburg isn't to far from me....maybe I could come and touch the 110 ?

and this is what I see....

Looks to be in good shape NO RUST, so I need rear seats, should I order from Rovers North or look for a good used setup?

PS. This thing runs so good it's been my daily driver for the past couple weeks, and who needs A/C with working vents!!

I had the center front seat cushion shortened and left in the BLWB. Did you refit it? Does it clear the overdrive lever now?

No didn't put it back yet, I actually got quite used to using the center cubby area as a drink and change holder. I think those front seats aren't original either, or have been "fixed" enough over the years to not look original. I hate to think what new seats all the way around would run.... Although RoversNorth front seat pricing didn't look that bad at first glance for factory replacement.

And thanks for shortening that up, I'll have to try it out tomorrow to see if the Roverdrive clears it.

I have the one piece bench seat, and I've seen the 3 split seats too. I got the cheapy aftermarket seats for the front - all of them for around $250 four years ago. Holding up pretty well. Not sure about rear seats....

I'd try and find a used rear seat first with all the framing. The latches that attach to the back tub - on the rail - are the key.

just noticed, the thumbscrew holding bits are missing in your pics. I'll see if I have a pic, or will get one.

You are also missing the small panels that the seat rest on, on the slanted part. I'll take them off the old tub and send them too you.
