I removed my rear tub panels ( and a few other bits ) and instead of spot welding I used Fusor 111B body panel adhesive. The glue was $18 and came with one tip, the gun was $40 or $50 - plastic cheapy thing.

Sanded all the aluminum, applied to both sides and set the panel in. We put a few rivets in to hold it well. The 111B cures in about 5 minutes which was nice for the first panel but the glue dried up in the mixing nozzle, so we snapped that off and just mixed by hand. Both panels are rock solid. We did put rivets in, then the capping over the rivets, then some rivets through the capping. A bit overkill maybe, but it works.

I got the fast setting because that was all they had in a small tube. Next time I would go for medium set time. Get more than one nozzle too...

That stuff looks cool. Would have been good for when I fixed my floors!

i USED THE STUFF AS WELL. IT worked great.
