I was having intermittent A/C troubles in my D-1 and I have now resolved it.

The plug going into the A/C compressor was recieving no voltage when the system was turned on to A/C. I checked and double checked all the fuses but found no fault. The electric fans that run to cool off the A/C radiator always ran and the light lit up on the dash button when the ac was turned on but still no power to the compressor clutch. I ran two wires to the clutch and to the battery and the clutch engaged right away with no trouble and the system ran cold. Now where to pick up power so the clutch would engage when asked to.........

I cut the wire close to the harness near the thermostat and ran the factory wire to the electric clutch over to the harness by the radiator passenger side where the wires feed the electric fans. I joined the wires together at that point under the top radiator support and viola, I now have a working compressor again. When the button on the dash is pushed the fans come on and so does the compressor.

Wonder how long the fuse will carry both the fans and the compressor?
