Oh Trevor me laddy, How much do you like the 109 pickup model? Here is a link to a Craigslist in MD for one. The ad says 107" but I have a feeling it is an 88" truck. Claims to be a 1956 for $4000 http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/mld/cto/804068009.html

You are a bad, bad man. It is a long wheel base, and I don't know my early Series well, but I think that's a Series II. Relatively rare, but my driveway is full. Maybe if I sell the 109 Dblcab, the 95 SWB and the 95 Disco, we'll see if it's still around...

That's pretty rare, not ebay rare, but rare rare. If it's halfway decent that's a good price and I'd bet he'd take less.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh I need a bigger yard.

If it's a '56 then it is a 107" series I if I'm not mistaken. I think the ad was correct.

Rob it has been great watching you grow from a newbie D1 owner to a full on Rover nut in something like a year. Almost brings a tear to my eye.

Very nice find. Someone should jump on that one.

It's fun scoping them out, looking for them. I can't buy them due to cash flow but I like to look for them. The British Ebay is good to look at. Lots of junk (I mean stuff) on there to find. Now if I just lived closer to a Four wheel playground I'd feel much better.

That's really cool. Look at the pangolin4x4.com site for pictures of Ike's drive from Colorado to Oregon in a 107" Series I pickup for inspiration.

Rob, thanks for posting the link.

I'm saving my pennies (and storage space and time) for a more capable off-roader than my old Disco.

The best scenario would be for another ROVERS Club member to acquire it so we know where it is.

Derek? Derek? Where are you? If you want to pass on the Dblcab for this 107, that would be okay with me!

I've always wanted a Series 1..... but the wife just bought a 2009 Mustang GT on Saturday, and this 107 would make it an even 20 vehicles. No, I won't buy it.

"No" means "Yes" in Backwards World. An even 20? Come on, that's an opportunity to hard to pass up!

Think they guy would take my 96 Disco in trade? Mine runs and has no rust where as his "looks" like it might run and I am sure about the rust.

Can't believe this one vehicle got this much fuss going in here.

SERIES-ly, we all just get giddy over a new DISCOVERY in the Land Rover RANGE.

That I line describes at least II or III members IIA tee. What Stage of giddy are you at?

Since we live in the "land of the free" would that make us all Freelanders?

well, spit out the details....

If the age is correct, it will be a 107 Pick/up, fitted with a late 2 litre engine (Over head inlet, side exhaust engine, approx. 50bhp)!
Most of the 107 and the few 109 Series Ones were truck cab as the Station Wagons were heavily taxed.
There were several 107 Station Wagons for sale on east/west coast several months ago.

Cheers
