Started the teardown, finaly pulled the bulkhead today and noticed something.
Anyone see anything odd with the bulkhead

Kind of hard to bolt it to the frame that way. Where's the lower post?

both were rusted off and decided to fall to pieces when I unbolted the bottom

How does the rest of the bulkhead look?

upper is fine and the footwells are rusted out in spots - passenger side worse than drivers'

update, got the bulkhead back from the sandblasters on Saturday.
Other than the footwells and the MIA mounting brackets, it looks really good.
So as soon as Jeff decides to stop playing down in La. I'll get it all welded up.

Nothing says gone over the LR edge better than a pic of a bulkhead IN your house.:p

...then I guess I won't be posting any pictures of the rest of the den/warehouse.

Nah, we need more pics! What is it about these trucks makes us crazy?

Some sort of odd need to toss large amounts of money and time at something that will continue to drive us crazy over vasts amounts of time?

not bad for 2 mornings of work. Front axle and rear axle removed. I love these Military trucks, every bolt and nut loosened/ spun/ slid out like they were installed yesterday. Only had to cut the nuts off of the rear lower shock mounts.

Oh hey Sean...remember how you went 'crazy' trying to get your old steering relay out last year, not to rub it in :D , but mine slid out like it was just put in ( made the wife - who thinks I'm insane - watch as a witness)

Neil,
Are those parbolics? Looks like a nice assembly!! Seems like things are going pretty good on the project.

So another couple hours and the truck will be ready for MAR? I'm jealous, can't wait for the day I can put a new frame under mine.

...I might just have it back together for MAR. I have my special Land Rover elves working on it as we speak :D
