Land Rover Harrisburg is heading to RC on the 9th. Anybody interested in heading up there with a bunch of modified Rovers to show the Dr. Jekell/Mr. Hyde nature of the enthusiast Rover owner?
Imagine a line up of big tire-d Rovers near the Supercharged Sports....
BTW, this has nothing to do with LRHarrisburg and we most likely would not be invited to the buffet...

I suspect many in the club will be at the Trials that weekend, but let us know how the trail rides were!

not that anyone here was going to meet up but my trip was canceled due to the economy, and kids. Not my kids or economy but we are not going. Hoping to reschedule in the next few weeks.

Sunday the 9th.
www.rc4x4.org

We'll meet, see how many Rovers we have and how they're set up and go from there.

I am perfectly content to run more towards the mild side and will most likely drive my 95 SWB with a mild lift.

Dress in layers-it's at the top of a rise and can get breezy/damp/cold/wet/hot/dusty often all at once. Wear appropriate foot wear and pack a lunch. (I don't expect to be invited for lunch with LR Harrisburg.)
Fill up with fuel before you get there. Exit 100 and 104 have c-stores and fuel depots.

My shop number is 717.367.0176 and will roll over to my mobile.

Membership to Rausch is required as well as a daily admission fee. No fee for my excellent trail guide service and endearing sense of humour.

I would love to go but from the look of things i don't think my RR will be ready.
Every time i go out to put my new parts on.... i run into a new problem.

Now i'm waiting on some more parts and its going to rain saturday.

I don't have membership.... does this matter for Raucsh Creek ?

P.S. my RR is also mildly lifted, but i have 34" SS tsl's so i have adequate clearance and i am working on getting this Rovertym steering stabalizer kit and suspension bushings installed but i don't think i will have the time, got to do it the rite way after all... this is the steering were talking.

I'm kinda new to the club but I'd be interested and I think a buddy of mine would be, too.

Pretty sure I'm still up for it. I need to see if I can catch up with Frank to pick up the tires tomorrow.

The more the merrier! We'r edoing mostly greens and blues-possibly we'll have a real G4 LR3, a Disco 1 XD, a 2a, etc.

Trevor, I'm picking up a friend's son in Hershey at 8am than taking Laudermilch up to 81, if you want to follow. Probably leaving at 7.45-ish. Haven't decided between trailering or driving the Rangie. With the dealer thing that day, it would look kinda cool to have the Rangie pulled by the D3...

It'd be much cooler to have the D3 pulled by the Rangie.

hahahahahaha. Have you towed with a Rangie? Hmmm? The D3 weighs almost 6k! Plus the trailer's 1800. It would be fun to watch that set up pushing the Rangie around every corner and down every hill, assuming it could make it up the hill in the first place!

What time does all this take place? Is there a place where we are all going to meet up first? Have never been there but have been looking for a reason to drive up there. Anyone can call me at 717-5024-2977 or text

I'm coming from NJ. It takes about 2 hrs from where I am and I'll be meeting up with someone else on rt. 78. What time are we figuring to be at Rausch, 9:00?

I'm coming from Somerset county. I'm meeting my buddy at the TA truck stop in Bloomsbury since he's out that way.

I didn't say it would necessarily be cooler for you.

I'll plan on being at your house at 7:45.

Thanks to our 'endearing' trail guide and the rest of the rock pilers that got me out of lake christy. Had a great time, as usual.

That was our first time at the Creek had a super time. Thanks again Trevor for leading us around and showing us the rope up there. It was a nice little group. the Black Hole was just a little on the deep side but I thought I was going to make it through it . That Kinetic rope sure is the berries. Well maybe next time we will make it through.

PMA, was that you with the D2 we saw first thing in the morning and last in the afternoon? I should've said something, would've been glad to have you and the jeep along.
Had a great time-will pay more attention to sneaky teenagers and hand-held radios next time- ended up leaving Tanner and Andy at my house watching tv until some parent came to get them!
Pretty amazing what mildly modified old Rovers can do.
There's still more to see -stepping it up a little- that could take a whole weekend.
Need to balance my tires soon though...

Jake forgot his camera.

I can tell he's becoming a pre-teen, because he told me he wouldn't have forgotten it if I got him a Nikon D-60.

Pictures anyone?

Here's (http://picasaweb.google.com/jtreider/Rc11908#) what I got. Sorry. I obviously only got the camera out twice.

That's a good choice. I probably would have went Nikon if I didn't already have Minolta lenses that fit the Sony Alphas. I do really like the Sony though, and would recommend it.
