there is a thread in here somewhere about vintage winches, and in that thread was a few links to where you could get a generic replacement.... I'll look in a bit.

I used the Pierce Wrecker P040 controller (you can see a picture in the thread). I also bought their mating connector and put that on the truck, wired right into the warn wires.

It was WAY cheaper than buying a warn controller.

Depending on what you want to do...

You might consider dash mounted controls...

I guess I need to make myself more clear, I need the solenoid pack and the cover.

For what make and model?

I have one from an 8274.

But if I were you I would replace it with an Albright solenoid.

Scroll down the page to see the albright. This one solenoid replaces the whole pack. I have this mounted in my Series to run my Warn winch and it is great.

Can I just use the one or do I need four like the Warn?
the winch is a M4500 that I am going to use on my Polaris Ranger, On the Warn web site it looks like it take the same one sa the 8000 and so on.

You only need that one, it replaces the pile of solenoids that come on a Warn. It is the size of a pack of cigarettes.
