I had bought these "diamond pattern chains" from JC Whitney a few years back. I've used them half a dozen times without a problem on a DII and RRC. The RRC has 235/85 with a mud terrain pattern. They have smaller chain links - good if you have limited room between oversize tires and your fenders. Might have to rush delivery them to ensure they get to you in time for SCC.

Not really. People run both styles of chains ladder and diamond so I'd say personal preference. I have the Ruud style becasue they are easy to fit. Honestly don't think you'll really need them. I'm bringing mine but doubt I'll fit them unless there is a lot more snow or I'm going to take over Randy's job and break trail all weekend. Oh and I run Dueler AT revos.

One foot on the ground in Canadensis. Its hard packed thawed and refrozen snow.. Conditions at camp can vary from solid ice to mud.. I'm not sure what we'll run into at this point . Weather looks to be in our favor for the weekend.
