Anyone interested in an off-road expedition to a secluded out-post cabin in Ashland, Maine?

We have 4 openings left.

Very remote 100 acre pond most easily reached by seaplane or 48 miles of old logging roads and 2 miles of build your own road over a terrible 4x4 road for true Landrover trail lovers. Beautiful hourglass shaped pond, surrounded by high mountains and rocky shorelines. Good fishing for landlocked salmon and brookies. Hiking trail to nearby Upper Hudson Pond, (fly fishing only) with canoe stashed there. Lower Hudson Pond has a 14' Deep V Boat, a 17' canoe, kayak and a 17' square stern canoe. The cabin is very primative with no running water, no electricity, propane stove and a propane refridgerator. It's about 600miles from Lancaster, PA.

It's from June 14th-22nd
$150.00 PP (Adult) Kids under 12 free

Sounds like a hoot, but it isn't one of those shows where the "contestants" get killed off one at a time is it?

Quite a nice article. Good reading. Makes me want to go. Think my 2 year old boy will be ok in the closet for a week? (just kidding you know!)

We went on vacation last year with the "little one" and spent 2 nights in Deep Creek Lake area of Western Maryland. It went well. His attention span is a bit short though for all day driving and hours of being couped up. Maybe in 2 years or so. If I could find a week long sitter and talk my girlfriend (Who is a stay at home mom) into letting go for a week I'd go. $300 for the two of us for a week vacation to an unforgettable week in the woods sounds like a good deal to me. Just logistically not easy to do.

Oh, another hard part would be talking her into taking her '04 Disco instead of my '96. Them thar scratches just "buff right out."
