How many (makes and models) can you name?

Ok, I'll try:
Fiat; Renault Gordini; couldbeprettybutIdon'tknowwhatitisFiat?; Saab 96.
And when did you take the RRC to the Eastern Bloc? Preparing for some Top Gear episode? Making your own show of obscure? I know, trying to win a prize at the Orphaned Car Show in Michigan!

Not that I think I can do better than Trevor, I think both of the first two are Renaults, third is a NSU Prinz, and the fourth definitely a Saab 96.

I never knew emerging markets contained derelict foreign cars as well.

My mom had one of these in a 2 door model:

Good call Andy, I fired up the google machine and found a NSU Prinz Sport 1000 that looks like #3!
What is that Rob, the Fiat Panda?

Pretty good!
Renault R12
Renault R15
NSU Sport Prinz
Saab 96 (3 cyl 2-stroke, not later V-4)

I have a friend with a passion for cars nobody else wants and helped him move these (plus a 1959 FIAT 500 and a 1966 VW Type III fastback) from one building in Philadelphia to another.

The Range Rover was the perfect tool for the job.

That's a FIAT Strada. My friend has one of those too, and a 131 sedan, and a 128 3P, and a 128 2-door sedan (that he drives to the train station every day).

I think the Strada rusted so badly back in the day that the engines fell out, like the Lancia Beta.

Yes-sir, the Strada was made of rust with a thin coat of paint to hold it together while it travelled on the boat to America.

Boy oh boy would that thing scream though.

This is an amusing thread. I was just driving around town today and saw a Fiat Strada parked. The last time I saw one of those was in Germany ;)

My mom found out the hard way that the Fiat gas cap wasn't a typical item. It was a fine threaded female cap. She left it behind at a gas station and had to replace it. Not cheap to locate. She wound up with a locking cap and put the key on her ring with the car key so she wouldn't lose it.

No joke, my friend would be interested in the one you saw, Sven. What color? I assume it's a two-door?

Here's one I found on a little country road in Maine while on vacation a couple of years ago. It does suffer from typical rust . . . (Who would buy a FIAT in Maine??)

oh the memories of mom's Fiat days.......

Did I mention that it had been the "demo" car at the Bel Air MD dealership and reverse would pop out and towards the end reversing was more a grind and hold affair?
