I just started researching custom grille badges. I know that a R.O.V.E.R.S. Club badge would be something I would put on my rover. Below is link for a company owned by Arnie Brown, he creates custom car badges for clubs all over the US.

What does everyone think?

I like the idea. Would rather do that than the sticker.

Like it too, would look really good on a series truck.

There is a 40 badge minimum order. 3 down.....37 to to go!

I agree with the badge over the sticker. The sticker is low cost I am sure but the badge might stop me from getting one if it is much over $25. I am thinking they are gonna run more like $100?

40 badge minimum order = $1000 total @ $25 a badge + shipping or pick up at an event.

Just for the well being of the club etc etc I'll take another. So its two for me.

Maybe I can put it on my bicycle, or kids razor scooter or something. I'm sure there can always be another use for them. Can they open beer bottles?

galen211
07-09-2009, 01:39 PM
Don't forget there are probably just as many members who do not use the forum but would buy these badges.

I figured that. But I'm new to the club and haven't met any members yet. So please spread the word to your buddies.

It would be nice if we were able to put together a large order to bring in some money for the club as well.

40 to 69 ..................$25.00 each
70 to 99 ..................$22.50 each
100 to 500 ...............$20.00 each

how many do you think we can sell at the fall event
we had a nice turn out in the spring.should have a good one too since its a 2 days event.
pm me. and can run it by tom b. on the 26th, see what he thinks

Landy7205

I think there's potential to sell a lot of these badges. I started this thread only three days ago and we have 14 members that want a total of 24 badges.

On average, how many members attend your club events?

scatterling

spoke to everyone at the build today and we can count on at least 8 more badges.

[QUOTE]Can we send money yet.[QUOTE]

Not yet, I don't want to rush this. The more people that are commited to buying a badge, the cheaper they are. Plus, I want to give as many members as possible an opportunity to get one. I think that having these made in time for the fall event would be the best move.

Or....if anyone has other suggestions or ideas, please let me know.

the spring event this was great
we had about 55-60 people there. some where there to drive the courses
but most were spectators and even some of them joined the club right then and there. so i looking for a very large group this fall.
how soon do they need to know to place an order.say 100
and what price if we need more.

40 days to be made. 100 badges @ $20 a piece to be made = $2000

PAYMENT: Payment in full is required with orders of 99 pieces or less. For orders of 100 or more, 50% is required with the order. The balance is due in full before delivery.

40 to 69 ..................$25.00 each
70 to 99 ..................$22.50 each
100 to 500 ...............$20.00 each

"Badges! Who needs badges?!" Sorry, couldn't help myself.

I would love to own a badge. Count me in. BTW, what is the club's treasury like? I am sure the Newsletter is expensive, but there may be money available to finance the badges.

Landy7205
07-21-2009, 05:50 PM
HAHAHA...I was waiting for that line....and finally it's arrived on this thread, nice work Joe.

Great questions in regards to the treasury. I am very new to the club and not sure about their finances and liquidity...or ability to work with us on this project.

If any one is involved with those matters or know who is please let us know if they can work with us on this issue.

Frank84

I'm not sure what shape the club treasury is in, but I know Tom B. holds the keys. I think the funds available would be low until the build a rover truck is sold.

Hey everyone. I want to see who can step up and take the lead on this badge project. I hate to bail out on you.....but all my rover projects have to come to a halt. Unfortunately my father is in the hospital and between his situation and work, I won't get anything accomplished.

Thanks

Thanks for your well wishes. I haven't done anything with this because of the responsiblity of dealing with others money given the situation with my father. We have a lot on our plate right now. I just don't feel comfortable asking for your money when I can't commit 100% to getting this done in a timely manner.

On the bright side, working on my rover has been a great escape from reality. Getting some real progress over the last 3-4 weeks. Nice outlet.

let me know what the final badge looks like, I can probably cut it out on my plasma table out of stainless or aluminum.
