November 6/7/8 We're planning on a multi-day event for all Land Rovers.
Stock, mild, to wild, there will be room for everyone. Roverlab and Lucky8 will have a hospitality tent and a buffet dinner Saturday night. Rausch Creek will handle the registration on a per day basis, so 2 days of wheeling, dinner on Saturday night. and use of the heated, lit, dry hospitality tent for 2 adults in one Rover will cost approximately $170.

The idea is to keep this a simple. fun weekend for enthusiasts. No black tie dinners or fox hunt demonstrations, but no shower trailers either! Kids are free and proceeds will go to the SPCA.

Sounds like a good idea.

How many can you take in the tent? Not sure how rustic this is. Do we need to bring mattresses etc.

They are talking about a wedding-type tent. Something to hang out under, socialize and eat dinner.

You'll need your own tent for sleeping. We are a close bunch, but not that close.:)

I was planning on tables and chairs for 100. If the weather was horrible, I'm sure we could move the tables and chairs and set up as necessary!
Really, I scarred Galen for life by mooning him before coffee at last years MAR.

It was a foggy, cool morning in the field but the moon was still shining brightly!

Well, I had a discussion with Gery Garcia who recently attended a FJ Cruiser gathering at the Creek. They set up their base camp at Echo Valley: pavilions, showers, restrooms, and a wide open common area that can handle a bunch of rigs and tents. Plus a few cabins.
I'm working with Echo to determine pricing, but this seems like a more cost effective way to put htis together and keep the costs under control. If it grows, maybe we'll have to move back on site with catering and all, but for now, low cost, low key, pot luck seems like the way to go.
