I'll be there, with the wife's V8 109.

I don't think they are allowing tents this year. From the ROAV 2009 MAR faq:

"Renting big group tents?"

"Not this year, due to space limitations in the camping areas we have. Our plan is to bring this back in some way next year."

The Rover Owner's Association of Virginia puts on one of the oldest Land Rover Rallys. This year it's at another new facility and there is a you tube link showing a teaser for some of the obstacles. We'll chat more tomorrow..

MAR is the Mid Atlantic Rally, hosted by ROAV, the Rover Owners' Association of Virginia. It is being held on October 1, 2, 3 and 4, and this year it is at a new location, just south of Bowling Green, Virginia, off Route 301 in Caroline County. This will be my first attendance at the MAR, but I am sure the others will have someting to report.

The ROAV website is: http://www.roav.org/

I'm in! Any plans for food coordination? Any one have those EZ-up tents since there is no big tent?

I was considering picking up a 10x10 EZUP for general use anyway. Anybody have a line on where to get them?

Wally world, target, Lowe's. Just about any of the big shopping places carries them.

ezupdirect has the Dome II for $140 which is a 10x10 or the E -something II 10x10 with 4 removable sides for $360 Thinking the sides could be a plus like on the beach to make shade or the rain.
10x10 won't hold many people, but a 10x20 is really pricey and heavy.
Ordered to day, I could have it b4 MAR!
Does walmart have a good website presence for available inventory etc.?

I don't think they do but they always seem to have a ton on the shelves. Of course in your area they may have a Penn State Nittany Lion on the roof. But I see no problem with that. :)

I will bring an ez up 10x10 also Got mine a while back at K-smart for $100 I think and it has a uv layer on the inside which is nice for the kids.

I was just planning on enough food for Trev and I Last year was too expensive for me to repeat.

It also occurred to me just now, anybody have anything we can use for a fire ring and not kill the grass? If not another open tire ring would be good. But you can't camp without a fire!

I'll try to score some firewood too.

Be cautious about transporting firewood fellas. The emerald ash beetle has most places putting rules in place about not bringing firewood with you.

I also have a EZ up tent I am bringing. We canput 4 tents together and make a big one cheeper. I am bringing a fire pot that sits about a foot off the groud and is about 2ft across. Everyone bring a little wood we can all just sit around it.

This is a long shot but would either of you have any of the little clips that are needed to hold a rear RRC bumper cap to the fender? These are little clips that attach to the bumper cap and to a bracket on the rear fender. Mine only has one left and am looking for one or two more.

There may be some usable ones on the LWB, but I won't have time to pull them before they leave. If Trevor or Randy have time, they're welcome to stop by to pull them.

If not, I can get them later and send them to you if you want, assuming they're usable of course.
