Looking for a Series IIA in good mechanical shape, but with a rough chassis, bulkhead and body panels.

The project is to build up a 1951 chassis with the Series IIA running gear.

Would prefer a Series IIA because the gearbox can be made to work with the mechanical clutch linkage of the Series 1. It would be good to hear the engine run. Looking for a (mechanically) complete truck to get all the small parts (e.g. steering relay and links, etc.) needed. An 88" has the correct springs/axles.

Somebody must have one or know of one . . .

Jeremy,

Have you seen this on LRX?

Advertisement to SELL; Product: 1966 SERIES IIA ; Price: 5,000.00; (Currency: US Dollars)
Three Series IIa 88 Land Rovers

SOMEBODY MAKE ME AN OFFER ON THESE. I've got three land rover Series IIA 88 I need to get rid of. I've had them for 7 or 8 years now and just haven't found the time to restore them. I have a 1966 IIa I've taken completely apart and have it ready to be put back together. I've sandblasted and repainted the frame. I had the engine redone but that was about 5 years ago. I've got miscellaneous parts and pieces. I also have a later model IIa, not sure of the year, headlights are on the fenders, that is ready for restoration. I also have a third IIA thats just for parts. Email me if you have any questions or want more details. You can go here for pics http://gallery.me.com/brianppaden#100145

Might be too much but there are a lot of parts there to resell too. I'd buy the rolling frame from you. ;)

Yes, but at the risk of being overly fussy, one truck that runs and is closer would be much more manageable.
