What is a fair price to pay for a deluxe bonnet with spare tire mount?

Sean, since you are fast becoming my Series expert I found something the other day that said all trucks before 1968 where positive ground and after where negative ground. Is this true that the 1977 I am buying would be negative ground?

Thanks,
Galen

That wins the prize for the funniest thing ever said about Land Rovers :)

Yes, 1977 is neg ground, my 66 was pos but we changed it. Took all of 20 minutes with some **real** series experts.

Make sure you stay on good terms with Tom and Evan and Steve Hoare. Get them great gifts for christmas and keep their phone numbers handy. I would own a pile of parts if not for them.

I have a bonnet with spare tire mount, it's straight but needs some TLC. How much you wanna pay for it? I'll try and get some pics this weekend.

Well I am not really sure how much I want to pay as I don't know what there worth. The series that I am buying from Tom has a deluxe hood that someone took the spare tire mount off the back door and put on the hood. Maybe all I am really looking for is the correct mount for a bonnet but those seem to be more rare than buying a whole bonnet.
At this point since Tom and I won't be working on the truck till January I have a lot of time to dream about it will need. :D
