When things were at their worst it did approach the $2 mark.
But as the dollar has recovered it has slowly been dropping in our favor.

I just bought a used steering wheel from PA Blanchards for $60.00, last fall I was quoted about $100.00 for the same wheel. (It was 40 pounds. UK):D

You dont need to sneak them in. Just bring one with the right paper work.......

You can't import new Defender legally as far as I know -- unless there is some slick paperwork, ala it's a 1974 modified series III, etc.

Won't the insurance company be suprised to try to fit those 1974 parts on your 2009 D-110.

Yea, that's why I'm not interested in going that route.
I wonder if a CKD is an option?

I see that you have a 110 TD5 listed as your vehicle. What year is it? How'd you get her into the country?

You're probably right Sean, but when I read this:

I thought maybe there was a simple and easy way that I wasn't aware of.

The 110 TD5 is a Double Cab. in Epsom Green. It is LHD. They can be brought in and it is about a 4 month process. NJ inspection was no problems...
There is actually a guy in the US that can legally sell new-used Defenders, he has TDI's, Td5's and Puma's in country right now. If you are serious send me a PM. There are a lot of loop holes from the financing to the insurance.... but it was worth it for me.

Nothing money can't solve. I sure do miss my house though.
