Ok y'all, what do the codes mean?

P0171
P0130
P1171
P1412

These codes were all stored in memory of my '04 D2 but the "light" was off at the time. When the light comes on it idles rough.

The first three codes are related to O2 sensors. Not sure about the last one...

P1412 Land Rover Secondary air system fault bank 1Drive cycle D:Signal implausible

Got that from Dweb. Don`t know what it means, but there you go.

Basically it is begging for a stand alone fuel injection system (holly projection) with an MSD stand alone spark box. It just signals this by lighting the Land Rover emergency beacon.

I might have gotten it. I replaced the upstream O2 sensor on the drivers side and am now waiting for the elusive "readiness" state on the OBDII computer.

I let the truck warm up this morning and then re-read the codes. I got it now. Only 1 sensor showing inconslusive and that is the EVAP monitoring sensor. Truck will go for inspection today.

Good luck with the inspection!

Inspection passed, sticker says 9/11? Close enough for me. Rear b rakes are about done, anybody suggest a source for rear d-2 pads?

Rover Labs is probably closer to you than I am, My shop is in Kennett Square Pa

Yeah, that's a lot closer than your shop. But as I'm sure you know, when you own a Rover (or more) you can never have enough knowledgable mechanical friends.

Bump, I took the connector apart tonight for the front drivers O2 sensor and the plug was full of oil. I knew that this was a possible fault for this problem. I cleaned out the plug with carb cleaner and then contact cleaner and wiped it out/off best I could. Reset the codes and crossed my fingers. A day or two will tell if it works.

On another note, Damn D2's are low to the ground, especially with running boards. I could have a tea party under my 3"+ D1 but I can't hardly shinny under the D2 without serious back scuffing in the driveway.

Trade in the DII on the white LR3 that Trevor has listed and never look back . . .

Why buy more electronics? Ughhh...you LR3 people. Not that I have experience with one, but they scare me a lot more than a DII.

Hahaha !! Let's take our old RRC and D1 to Rausch Creek !! What do you say ??

In all seriousness, I see the Ford influence in the LR3 design as a plus over BMW's work on the DII. What did BMW change from the D1 that was a step forward?

Engine light back on. Electronics scare me. Relays I can see work and test for faults, an ohms change from a sensor I understand but can't always check or verify especially while in circuit.
If $ was no object I'd buy a new LR4 and be happy. I have to deal with what I've got for now.
Will read the codes tomorrow.

Update: Current codes are : P0130(bank 1 sensor 1 fault) P0171 (lean bank 1) P0139 (slow response from bank 1 sensor 2) and P1171 (manfacturers whatever code)

I just replaced the bank 1 sensor 1 (drivers front) O2 sensor last year this same time, Trevor (mr roverlab) thinks it could also be a leaking injector seal.

Anybody else have any thoughts?
