Bought a parts car for the engine, gearbox, axles, steering, etc. for another truck.
Any interest in the following parts from a 'donor' 66 Series IIA 88" hardtop?

Hardtop - no lift gate, but that was the set up (rather than station wagon). Small dent on top on passenger side, but overall good. No tropical roof. No headliner. No tail gate.

Doors - rear station wagon door in poor condition - probably only good for glass and latch. Front doors - fair lowers; tops only good for glass.

Rear tub - average condition.

Seat box - maybe better than average.

Bonnet - non-deluxe in good shape.

Front fenders - passenger good, drivers slightly less good.

Rear jump seats - good frames, need new cushions.

Windscreen frame - good parts; replacement glass for cracked side.

I'm going to scrap most of this (other than maybe the front fenders and bonnet) if there's no interest, so you can pretty much name your price.

I'll take the front bumper if Benji passes on it. Any chance of coming over and scavenging in person?

How about the fuel filler funnel- still have a screen in the bottom of it?

Neil,
In-person scavenging is encouraged. Let me know.

Trevor,
Yes, screen is intact and I'll put your name on it.

The tank can't be more than a few years old and is galvanized. I'm going to be using it for a little while to tune the engine, but will not need it in the long run.

I also have a military-style Series II tank (that fits under the seat with the cap on top of it) that came with the Series 1 parts truck if anybody is interested in that . . .?

Wiper motors look like toast.
I can't imagine it's worth the cost of shipping the glass and the bumper.
I know a guy in Denver who is a Series 1 guru and seems to have access to all kinds of parts. I could forward contact details if you'd like . . .

Might be interested in the seat box.

I need to buy Neil's frame and start a 109 pick-up with acquired parts!

Jeremy,

Are the rear seats benches or seats? As in the 4 fold-up seats? If so I would be interested in those too. I already have several benches...

Neil, any chance you could deliver stuff for me? Or Trevor? Or?

Sure. There are two good lenses on there. In fact, take the whole rear box . . . !!

Last night I made good progress on dismantling the truck. The hardtop, rear box, sill covers and seat box are all pretty much ready to go. I'll have everything apart by the weekend.

Toast. Was nicely-patched and so looked reasonable at a glance, but it's beyond salvation.

Are you keeping this as a titled roller? If not paper work for sale?

Any more info on the military tank? I would like it (along with the galvy one if Trevor passes...).

Tom,

Military tank came with my 1951 project. You are welcome to it.
(I don't have much storage space and can't throw good stuff out.)

As far as the galvanized tank goes, I will use that for a couple of months, but if Trevor doesn't want it, it's yours (minus the fuel filler funnel, which is new-ish, like the tank).

Pictures of military tank below.

I'm not in need of the fuel tanks; just need the filler neck with the screen!

Jeremy,

Let me know how soon do you need the tank gone and I'll plan a trip down...

Speaking of bench seats - does anyone have a surplus pair floating around?

I do!

Any chance you're coming to MAR? You can have them.

The top, rear box and bonnet left today. They're going to a project 1965 Series IIA where the parts went to a body shop but never came back.

This is (was) a pretty rusty truck . . .

how does Saturday morning look for you? I could swing by and pick up the bumper and whatever ton of stuff Galen wants.

What about the main shift lever, defrost vents and r-view mirror? Are they available?

I will be using the shift lever and the mirror, but I'll set aside the defroster vents with the fuel tanks.

Hi, new on this board, but I've been doing Rovers a while

Is the steering wheel a Banjo? I would like to experiment with swapping out a three spoke on a IIA with a Banjo.

Thx!

It's a three spoke wheel, but I will be using it.

After Neil grabs the bumper, seat box and whatever other things I can unload on him tomorrow . . . then what's left goes to Trevor, Stuart, Todd and Tom P.

At that point, I will have just what I need for my project.

Thanks, this has been fun.

For Tom P (Tom109):

I have a few shift levers. Let me know if you need a SIII or SIIA. I use the SIIA on my SIII, it just has to be bent a bit differently.

For David (Ducttape):

The banjo wheel has a larger diameter spline than the plastic three spoke wheel and won't interchange. It might be easier to change the entire column and steering box. I can supply pics if needed. I might have an extra banjo column in the pile, but I'll have to check.

Bob, I've got a IIa crashbox.

I'm venturing locally in the 109. should be out and about in a few more weeks. Maybe I can make it down to you and Jeremy on a weekend...

Hi Tom,

I'm glad the 109 is running. I guess bringing it to the picnic on Saturday is out of the question..... I could probably meet you at Jeremy's if we can set it up.

I will dig a shifter assembly out of the pile.

The picnic conflicted with our local community day. I'm spread too thin between Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts and Soccer. However, I will be sleeping in the 109 at the Scout encampment!

I'll tough base with you and Jeremy in the near future...
