Is there space left? The Rangey needs a roadtrip, and what better way to do so than a weekend amongst its peers?

Please take my space. I thought Jake and I would have a truck up and running (fall-back was a non-Land Rover, admittedly), but we have nothing that runs.

What Sean said. You can drive the LR3 to the cabin (a fun drive on it's own) and park next to Sean. It's just as much fun being a passenger as a driver at this one. In fact, we've had as much fun on the ride in to the cabin as doing the trails.

Sounds like a plan if that's OK with you. The LR3 is the best we can do this year unfortunately.
Thanks,

Think I'll be riding along with someone, too...think that the truck should just get a roadtrip, not any wheeling.

Just had bundles of fun trying to do a simple test of the OBD for my state inspection later this month...will post it in the RR section...but the truck should make it fine.

There's lots of room left folks so pull out that calender and switch things around as the recent weather should make this the best trip yet !

Chains are strongly recommended , we can get into the camp with out them but you'll be out of luck on the trails . Bring your boots and cold weather gear and join the fun!

I have chains, but having an extra set with the group might not be bad with the amount of snow there is.

FYI - Tom sent this out via yahoo...

HI Everyone,

Just a reminder about This weekend event. If you are coming up Friday,
we will meet at the Pine Hollow Restaurant in Canadensis, between
6-8:30PM ( many of us will have dinner here) then the trek to the gate
begins.

If you are coming up Sat AM, be sure to let me know who you are so we
know who to expect, and we leave the church parking lot at 9AM, so
don't be late. Once the gate is locked, there is no way in.

Mobile phone reception in camp is spotty at best, so don't count on it.

Hopefully someone is bringing the makings of breakfast for Sat and
Sunday. Sat lunch is on the trail so bring you own. Sat night dinner
is in camp and we have it covered. Bring your own beverages.

And, remember to bring your $100 for a ticket for Build-a-Rover. It
is finished except for a technical issue with the oil gauge and fuel
gauge. It runs very well. We would like to get all the tickets sold so
we can give it away at the Spring event.

I just talked to Tom and Mira. They're bringing dinner for everyone on Saturday night. I'm going to pick up some dessert.

Is anyone signed up to bring breakfast for sat or sun? Or should we just all bring our own?

Evan and all. Many thanks for a perfect weekend. Just enough snow to make things interesting. Good company.

Got home feeling a little heavier....due to Oscar's home brew! Checked vehicle over and must have hit something hard exiting the creek crossings as the Discovery LHS rear quarter panel has popped the pop rivets!

From conversations with Jeremy there is a good chance that there will be TWO Series One 80"s at the cabin next year!

Cheers

Had a great time as usual. The snow made a fun trip out of the lake loop, I think that's the first time we didn't even try Monument Rock. Had a blast in Tom's 88.. until the gears got stuck...

I did learn that a LR3 should use the 'cactus' setting in the snow.

Good to see everyone.

It was a blast indeed.

My homebrew is NOT fattening, au contraire, it makes one more handsome. ;)

Next year I will bring something that can take on three feet of snow and then there won't be any.

Is Bill (FJ Cruiser) here? Or does anyone have an email for him? I have a question....
