I want whatever meds this guy has. The description of this thing is almost compelling enough for me to place a bid.

I guess a rotting bulkhead and rear cross member are "cosmetic". Maybe if I call my Series a DEFENDER it would be worth more.

Who knew there were only 10 RHD Series trucks in the U.S.?

And hurry b/c if you don't buy now it's going on ebay in a week? Uh, might want to update the text since your last listing....

If he gets his price mine is for sale next week.

They're asking $7,275 on their site, but Book Value is $19,000, so it's definitely a steal!

Ouch. I just got a response from the seller after asking:

"Hi, I'm very interested. Can you please confirm that this is a Defender? Is it a Defender 90? Are there any rust issues I should be concerned with?" - Me.

"Yes. It is a 90 Defender. No rust issues." - Whalebone Auto

It really does amaze me sometimes.
[self edit]....I had a really long rant started and then deleted it all - what's the point.

It's now listed as a Series III. Someone should ask about the bulkhead and rear cross member pictures hahahh

Yeah, after he responded with that it was a "90 Defender" with "no rust" I sent him back a message saying it looked an awful lot like a SIII with rot on the rear crossmember and bulkhead, and he said the the SIII was the predecessor to the Defender, so they were basically the same thing, and that rust was contained to the rear which "could be fixed with a bit of welding." What a jackass.

Ask him to include the rust repairs, offer to pay for the materials ( not bondo applied with a trowel...)!
