Mike -

take a look at some of the universal stuff here:

I think I remember Tom Bache saying he used a plate for a wrangler YJ on his SIII and just had to drill a few holes.

I used a standard Warn winch mount for my 8274. The M8000 can mount foot forward like my 8274. The slots in the plate lined up with the bumper bolts on the Series.

Not sure of the Warn # for the plate but if you search "foot forward Warn winch mount" it will probably come up.

I spoke to customer service at Warn yesterday, based on this chat, I ordered a "foot down" universal flatbed trailer mounting kit. Like a heavy duty "U" channel.
The only thing that bugs me a little is the length which I was told is 27.5", the distance to the outside of my frame is closer to 30" so I might have to weld tabs on each end.
I'll know more when I receive it.

I wish I had looked at your winch mounting photos before ordering the foot down mounting plate.
I like how you mounted yours and the winch looks to be very well protected.

I will make the most out of what I ordered, thanks for your input.
