My vote for location goes to Worlds End PA state park. Just the name is worth it. Kinda a haul for all involved though.
I've never been, anybody here been there?

Bummer, I've already registered for the Rattling Creek Singletrackers Mountain Bike Bash that weekend.
Have fun!

I might finally make one of these events. We don't have a soccer game that day. I can probably cancel practice and make it out.

Come on Trev! You can wear your nut-hugging shorts to the picnic. We won't say a thing.

Been there and Ricketts Glen just down the road. Ricketts is one of my favorite PA parks. Worlds End is nice too. While there drive over to Eagles Mere, PA. You'll think you drove into New England. Beautiful little village in the middle of nowhere.

If I find myself up there I'll have to tour the area well. I like remote places. Northern Vermont was nice. Garrett county Maryland is nice too.

A lot of these places might look different now because of the marcellus shale drilling.

Anybody ever go to michaux state forest where the appalachian trail goes through it?

I've not been to the area where the Appalatian trail goes through but I have been out there and it is very nice. I seem to criss cross the app trail a lot in my travels.

Looks like location has been decided. In my Fairlead newsletter there is a location of Nottingham Park, Chester county at 11am.

Date on the newsletter is June and postmark is July 20th yet our webmaster who is much more in the know than a lot of us still had no idea where it was being held.

There needs to be better club communication than this. Our club is far flung and communication is the only thing that will hold us all together.

Also, Haven't we seen enough pictures of Dana's rollover already? Hasn't it been 3 years? There must be something else worthy of printing.

As soon as you roll your disco we'll have something to replace Dana's picture. It used to be the orange Series, now it is Dana's D90, so who is next???

Please make sure you thank Tom Bache the next time you see him. he has done a wonderful job running roversclub. now he has retired from being the club president. he is looking forward to finishing his other rovers that he started and doing some of the trials in the furture.

Who is the new president? Tom is great, he had a hand in both of my Series purchases and brought a lot of new folks into the Land Rover fold.

Thanks Tom!

We voted you in Galen. Evan as VP.

galen211
09-19-2011, 08:32 PM
Does that include a yearly stipend that will allow me to move back to PA?

If Evan is the VP do I get unlimited back rubs for the next year?

Rob P

Mr. Stevens is our president elect. Tom asked for volenteers to take one step forward and Mike was not paying attention and everyone else took one step back.

I'm sure we are in capable hands.

We're all here for you Mike. All kidding aside. It takes more than one person to make a club work and our club is spread from here to there and back again so it makes it even tougher. We have a lot of resources in our members and together we'll go forward.

we are so spread out. thats why we can have different events or gathering all over. we can use this to bring in more members. if others are willing to pitch in we can make the club run smooth. it should be interesting.
