The headliner in the '96 Disco was sagging so I removed the headliner panel. After pulling off the fabric, I carefully wire-brushed the panel to remove the old glue/foam. I bought two cans of fabric spray paint (should have bought four cans for better coverage).

It isn't beautiful, but nobody has noticed it yet so it can't be too bad.

WTF is "fabric paint"? That seems like a GREAT way to go! Was pulling the headliner a major PIA?

I think I may have found the fix for my "ceiling".

I'll give you $10 if you spray glue a velvet Elvis to your ceiling of your Disco.

I followed the directions (kind of) that I found on some website that I can't easily find now. (Might have been Discoweb, but I didn't find it just now.) I don't have a sunroof which must make it easier, however.

Worst part was scraping off the old glue.

It's not cheap, just the best, in-expensive way to do it (unless you doing a factory nut & bolt resto). Do this once and you'll never touch it again. Removal is pretty simple - rear corner trim, sun-shade/map-holders in front, and the handles over the doors all have to come off, then just slider it out the back door.

I used a vinyl spray paint from one of the big box stores. I think it was the kind used for plastic patio furniture. It doesn't have to be fabric paint, since once you remove the fabric/foam/adhesive you're left withe some sort of fiberglass base.

I did mine at least 3 years ago with zero issues...

How do you know? You weren't there. Come to think of it, you're never there...
