I have officially graduated from school and have decided it is time to restore the Series. I am looking for a D1 or RRC so that I have something to continue playing with you kids. I prefer something close to stock, not much more than a 2" lift and little else. Preferably a Disco, but open to anything.

I was going for Trevor's D1 but the wife wants something "pretty" at the same time, so no rusted junk boxes and no fixer-uppers. Anybody know of anything?

What happened to the nice Classic you had?

Sold when the baby was on the way for a more "family" car. I do miss that truck and should have kept it, but it was a maintenance hog trying to sort its non-stop problems and doing that with a new born and grad school would have killed me.

Now that school is over and the baby is happy I need a new frustration in my life. :D

Maybe not what you are looking for but I have 99 DII for sale, 150k engine just completely resealed, asking $3200 , truck is SE7,and an ace vehicle, exterior is flawless, interior needs attention, previous owner had dogs that scratched rear leather.

What do you think this will go for?

Wow! That is the nicest looking one I've seen in a long time. Though, you know you need to go drive it...

Looking at the history, it's been in the Phila area all its life. I would expect that rust under the rear load floor carpet and in the front floor is the most likely problem.

Difficult to know what it would go for. I can't imagine it going much over $2,500. I paid $3,000 to get mine back (at 104k miles), but wanted the bumpers, sliders, fuel tank skid, etc. I was a little surprised/disappointed by the rust in the rear load floor. The carpets/foam were soaking wet. I had it all ripped out within 24 hours of getting it home.

Anybody close to Havertown that could take a look at it?

That Disco on eBay looks really clean though. The interior looks new. But like Jeremy noted, the rust could be there.

It does look to be in very nice shape. Too nice to rough up but it would last a long time.

So I won the ebay truck. Took the train to Philly yesterday and drove it home. It is every bit as nice as the pictures suggested.

I realized when I got behind the seat that the only manual trans I have driven in ~3 years is the Series. This is very different and I had a hard time finding the gears and stalled it the first 5 times I tried to pull out. When I got it home Jess jumped in to take it for a spin and drove right off like she had been doing every day for years. Go figure.

I see what you mean, Jeremy, about the gearing. It really does not want to cruise much higher than 65. First is so low its almost useless. I engaged low range today and 1-lo is ridiculously low.

For some reason I can't add pictures. When I go to the manage attachments page I only see half the page in my web browser and can't see the button to add images?

Awesome news! I'm glad it is as clean as the pictures showed. Going to bring it to the picnic?

Sorry, we will be on vacation in Mass during the picnic. Maybe I should pack the tow bar so that I can pick up my new Series on the way home?:D
