I had the only Land Rover at this show, last year. This is a decent show and it's a great setting. I'd love to see more Rovers this time. I attempted to make the prior year's show, as well but, I blew up the transfer box less than 2 miles from the park. I will be pre-registering. Hope to see you there.

I'm pre-registered. Would you like to drive up there together? Which Rover are you taking? Maybe you could talk Steve into driving his Series I up with us.

Driving up together is fine, Steve doesn't really drive that series I much.....
Maybe we can get him to take the nice Series III.... I'll take the Short Bus 109, guess that means I'll have to clean all the crap out!

Last year, about 150 cars attended the show. You name it , it was there. From a couple of mini-mogs to a few street legal Lotus race cars.
There was a group of SAS WWII re-enactors. They spent about a hour taking pictures of themselves with my rover (X-mod). One of the chaps was a former SAS member, from the early 80's thru the mid 90's. We talked for about an hour about some of the same places that we had the pleasure to visit . It was a trip revisting my mis-spent youth.

:confused:On my way to the car show in Fort Washington, my 88 started making a new sound that does not sound healthly. Sounds like a bearing . Took off the front drive shaft, still there. At the show I droped the rear shaft and accellerated the engine with the gearbox and tranfer box engaged(no noise). Starting to think it's in the axles. Wheel bearing, diff bearing, pinion bearing, any thing else I should look for. By the way, won first prize in the rover group,...... I was the only one.

Sorry to hear that Larry, was looking forward to catching up. Of course this means we now have a chance to win the "working mans British car" award, or perhaps the "who the hell let that thing in" award.

Steve Hoare
Peter Reed
Ed
Sean

All leaving 8:15 hope to see more of you there!

Congrats, Steve!

Terry has your award. Sorry I didn't inform you yesterday. I was beat when I got home last night. The traffic into Allentown was bumper to bumper all the way to 378. Must have taken a half an hour or more to get to Tom's house.
