After a failed defense of a Trademark dispute with a short-sighted international automobile manufacturing business, Roverlab is now British4x4Specialists.
Just add a .com and that will also be the website.
Nothing has changed but the name!

Thanks!

Trevor

RIP Roverlabs. Carry on British4x4specialists.

Can we abbreviate it BS?

Ideas for stickers? The RL ovals were easy. BS over a 4x4 in an oval or circle? B4S?

I was think about: B S
4x4

Can't believe we still have power but we've lost some big trees already. So far, house damage minor but there's a silver maple that is coming down around the house in big pieces. Not looking good for the tree, probaly going to head out for somewhere safer....

Just go out and shake the tree. Now you know why I didn't want to come up and hang a door today.

No trees over the barn although the big pine broke the fall of the maple. Tree guy says the whole thing should be brought down as the remaining parts are over the house.

It was only rain early in the day....

We do all kinds of ad work and I know lots of good designers.
I'm sure I could pull you a favor.

I still like "The Lab" or "British Lab" way more than that new long name. It keeps the equity you've built up over the years with your old name while keeping it legal, it's simple, plus you wouldn't have "BS" (which has some negative connotations) all over your stickers.

I even made a sticker for you. :)

I agree the new name is a mouthful. Like my parents shop, Treasured Motorcar Services, it became Treasured, Treasured Motorcars, or TMS.
I took the domain name b4x4s.com because I thought it seemed a little easier and catchy: b4, x4, s . com

I rarely use the business name when I answer the phone (and some like to say "if" I answer the phone), usually "Hi, this is Trevor".

I guess it could morph into Brit 4x4, but that's under construction somewhere.

How important is the name?
For large businesses. no doubt- just ask L*ndR*ver. After almost 7 years, how many of customers have I earned with participation in club events, off-roading weekends, forums and, very very very gratefully, word of mouth? Locally, Randy sends me work, the dealer sends me stuff they dont want to do, and again, more word of mouth. I'm not sure how much work I'm not getting as a result of the shop in southern York county, but again, I do almost no advertising except for some stickers.

The shop is UK Motors in Felton. Andrew who runs the shop, I believe used to work at Treasured.....

Yeah but once you've gotten used to leaving messages for Trevor you just remain loyal to his voicemail.

Yes, Andrew Ward. He worked as a floor sweeper at the wood shop in the same building when he was a teenager driving a lifted F150. Came to work for us at Treasured, moved on to Chesapeake Jag and Land Rover Hunt Valley and now UK. May have been some other stuff in between.
Anybody had an opportunity to work with him yet? I saw him at the MAR, but we didn't get a whole lot of time to catch up.
