I had a customer ask me about teaching him how to use the recovery gear that he sees on Rovers, and he got me to thinking: I have 3 acres with a small off-road course already started. There are some rocky climbs, a water obstacle, loose soil, fallen timber, all perfect for setting up great stucks. The opportunity for self-recovery or multi-vehicle recovery using straps, hilifts and winches has been proven many times over by yours truly! Is this something that folks would find useful?
Thoughts?

Why not do it at the Robesonia trials event? There are plenty of good places to do a recovery scenario there.

thats a good idea trevor. do you want to keep a limited number of rovers to attend that way it doesnt get
to full.
@devildog01 we did that a few years ago and took a while to do with12-15 rovers. we
had to cut the last 2 courses out cause it took to long. another good idea. got me thinking too.

In the interim, have your customer purchase Bill Burke's "Getting Unstuck" - it's a great primer on the subject.

Mike, yes, would need to control the number of vehicles as there isn't all that much room, but in reality we only need 1-2 vehicles for demo. That's demo-nstration, not demo-lition.

Josh, funny you should mention that: I usually include that video when I install winches and other recovery equipment!

Neilieo- anytime.

You could do it at your place that way we could recover the goat off the roof of the shed.

Nicole was super worried about seeing the roof goats at British 4x4 Specialists. She almost had a panic attack.

Sounds like a great idea to me. (Especially if it doesn't happen until after my winch bumper is finished being fabricated...)

I'd be up for it whether it took place over at your place or someplace like the Robesonia event.

*Wow, just realized this was my first post to this forum...many of you guys know me from the other forums and ROTR, I promise...
