Canvas repair?

I can search the web and come up with hundreds of options, so thought that this is a better starting place.

Any idea how to repair a tear on the canvas? Sew? Patch? About 4 inches wide, and getting wider every time I drive. Its right over the top corner on the front hoop. I also have a few smaller ones that will need attention soon.
