Thinking about a “gathering” here in the Berkshires.
I have 200 acres with a couple of trails, some nice camping spots…surrounded by 3000 acres of land trust land with lots of mountains.
Great views, lots of little shops....
Great hiking (although why would you want to walk when you have a Rover)
One spot near are pond is very very muddy… perfect for testing out your skills in deep mud.
What do you guys think?

Thinking:
Cook out
4X4ing
hanging out
4X4ing…
Late at night bonfire (legal around here)

Camping (anywhere you want on my land)
House is available for showers and what not.
We even have a 2 seater outhouse :o

Hopefully it's not 2-seats vertically!

I did “Saab Gatherings” at my old house…
One time we had 35 Saabs parked in the street, I had a three bay garage at the time and tons of parts so it turned out pretty cool… little tech time, cook out, hang out and cruise.
Now, no garage (yet) but lots and lots of land…
Hard thing is that the Rover we own is the Mrs and not mine and I doubt she’ll let me use it to try out our trails.
Figure I’ll put this gathering together for sometime in May but not sure yet.
Maybe charge $10 for food and to cover hot water, maybe T shirts or decals…
Contacting vendor’s I dealt with in the past, Hemmings, Lubro Moly to put together a goodie bag of sorts.
Just got the idea today….
Big thing is can’t be to dry out, one we need mud in my lower field to play in, two can’t chance forest fires around here.
May do a whole weekend…
Friday night: Show up get to know everyone, local cruise and hang out/ fire pit chat.
Saturday: Breakfast at local diner, get to know trails and go 4X4ing
Saturday night cookout/bonfire/hangout
Sunday: little more 4X4ing and what ever….

I'd come up with a number of people you think that you'd want up there.. I'd recommend a small group at first.. maybe a dozen or two max... then post on here, discoweb.org, muddyoval.com, landroversonly.com .. and you'll get a good number of people around.

I need to get out more often.
Didn’t even know those other sites existed…
So many sites, so little time. And to think I was going to bed early…
;)

I've had at least 6 emails so far and a few PM's...
Maybe put one group in the mud area and one in the trails?

Yeah, you could, or do a weekend type deal.. let people swap between there.. keep group size to about 5/6 people.. more than that it becomes a pain.

If you would like to pick a date, I'm sure you would get a pretty good turn-out. There isn't a whole lot of stuff going on up north.

Working on a date...
Also open to suggestions.
Not to soon, have to do some trail prep and what not.
