Would love to attend, but 2 weeks ago Trevor gave my transmission a death sentence and I'm on borrowed time. I'm afraid a drive to the Poconos would be too much.

Can everyone make it up on Friday night by 7pm? If not, we NEED to know. Saturday is still an option if you can't make Friday night. We meet in the Pine Hollow Restaurant 100 feet from the Church parking lot.

Also, the payments have changed slightly. $25 per person, $5 per extra family members. The associated costs of this weekend have gone up slightly so this should help.

Sounds good to me! Any more details on Saturday night meal? What is needed?

Is this the main place (ROVERS forum) THE place to get info?

As Brett pointed out, I'm a noob for this event... Sounds like a great time!

Jake and I will get there Friday but we will eat in the car on the way up because we won't get to the restaurant before 8pm because I have to work on Friday afternoon.

We spent the weekend working on the Disco. After 16 years there are a few things that are starting to wear out (in addition to the driver).

We are bringing a sausage pasta dish for Saturday dinner along with home-made fudge and cookies (oatmeal raisin and oatmeal chocolate chip), and some other misc snacks.

Wow, what a great event. I am just sorry that I have not made it until this year.

Little did I know when I paid the $25 truck fee and the $5 passenger fee that I would be the passenger! I drove my truck one time for 5 minutes all weekend! Jensen had an absolute blast.

Thanks to Evan for generously opening his place for the event. Much appreciated.

Thanks to Randy for the ride up.

Thanks to Susie and Nancy for all the work they did - with a smile on their face the whole time.

John - thanks for the winch lesson for the boys. Jensen learned a lot and your time was appreciated.

Bill - thanks for the work you do for the event

Shawn - thanks for your work as well

Brett - the Hot Wheels sleeping bag

Anthony - for the over-sized and comfy Dodgers poncho (don't ask)

Frank & Chris - for taking us out on the late night (early morning?) runs

...and Kasey. For showing me how a 16 year old girl can wheel a Disco. You rocked it!

I appreciate everybody's contribution to the weekend. It was truly memorable.

Ditto. SCC is always an amazing time and this year was no different. Naturally Even gets the biggest of thanks. Maybe next year I'll be brave enough to bring my Series.

Although, not unlike some pool schlub cut off the thank you list during a rushed Oscar thank you speech, I'm saddened by my absence of Dave's thank-you list. I can take solace, however, in that he didn't thank the dogs either.

Great time this weekend ( even if I didn't get to drive much, but had a good time as Kaseys passenger!). Good to spend time with you all.

As always, most thanks goes to Evan for opening up the camp again.

Now if I can figure out how to get all these kids to stop growing up and making me feel old. -:)

UGH! I knew I would not get everyone. I sincerely apologize. Being new to this event I am not sure who does what. I mean there are guys like Brett that, besides giving me 2/3 of a sleeping, contributed nothing to the weekend for me. His presence was not appreciated nor enjoyed. :p

Going "up" was the easy bit! Coming down I experienced multiple sections where "with no throttle, and the wheels not turning etc. we were still accelerating at 9.81 meters/second......thank you Mr Gravity!! You probably saw my tracks up the banks trying to keep in the fresh snow to slow down! The ladies thought it was all perfectly normal!

Hi everyone, Suzie here, just wanted to say "thank you" to Evan, & I hope you are feeling much better. It has been a long time since being at the cabin. It brought back many fond memories from the past when the kids were younger. Looking at Casy I am reminded how old I have become, but kudos to her for her excellent driving ability this weekend, as well as Jake, & Jensen...the next off-roading generation. Sean, I'm sorry we didn't get a chance to sample your chicken legs!!!! However the sat. meal was a great collaboration..Dave great salad. Thank you again everybody!

ALMOST FORGOT!!

First rescue happened 50 feet inside the gate on Friday night!

Randy's rig with my truck on the trailer slid into a ditch. About an hour later after much winching, we got my truck, Randy's truck and Randy's trailer out of the ditch - all independently. Evan and I made great dead weight on the back of the trailer to hold the front off the ground during winching. John had control of the recovery and Murray kept us safe.

Nice! So what did Randy break?

He stripped the threads on the TRE on the pass side (HD rovertym track rod) and it fell out completely. Then the jam nut was, uhhhmmm, jammed on the TRD making it just that much more difficult to get it together enought to limp back to camp where his trailer was.

My college friend Chris was driving the Scout with a 345 and Torqueflite. Chris has gone to Rausch a bunch of times with us back when he had his green LWB RRC. He just picked up the Scout a few months ago in Wisconsin. It did well except for when I was driving it and I spun it 90* while only going 1 mph.
