It sold for $4500. Not a bad deal really. But a Chevy V-6 in it? I wonder how that runs?

Chevy V-6? If it's a 4.3 liter it's probably pretty good. I have 3 of them great motor, cheap to maintain, lots of smooth power, very reliable. It's a 350 Chevy with 2 cylinders lopped out of the middle. I am currently thinking about this conversion in a Series II truck. I have a doner 4.3 with automatic trans and 4x4 transfer box. It'll fit and it's not much heavier than a Rover 2.25. I would use Rover axles though. Motor mounts and drive shafts would be the biggest concern. I'd leave it electronic throttl body fuel injection. Not much to them. You would obviously have to make it disc brakes and vacuum assist though! It would go but wouldn't stop! I just need to find a good frame and body to do the conversion work. I'm looking but not finding so far.
