Have a 01 DII with 125k. Rust pretty bad on the frame where it goes over the rear axle. uugghhh. Should I weld in peices or something else? How bad does anybody else have it?

My dad's DII is terrible along side the gas tank. The front half of the chassis is reasonable - mostly due to oil leaks. But the back half has not enjoyed the salty roads.

Thats where mine is the worst. I`ll have to pull the tank to repair it.:(
