Just finished my engine conversion and would like to sell my old one. Rebuilt less than 2000 miles ago. Bought most of the internal parts from Trevor at rover farm. Pistons, rings, bearings, 2.5 cam,oil pump. Head also done with new valves, seals and seats. Also has a new Rochester carb. Looking to get less than half of what I've got in it, so selling for $1500.00. I upgraded to a diesel which is why I 'm selling it. Thanks, Matt

TDI. After we talked about that military site that sold defenders, i just decided to upgrade the series.
My trucks in pretty good shape and i'm way too attached to it. I'm looking to get a some disc brakes if I sell
this.

Its a TDI. I mounted the intercooler in front of the rad. Its not the cleanest install, but i'm happy with it. The engine, that is.
I'll probably have to tweak things as they come up. I just finished this it weekend, so i'm still without an exhaust.
Hope the tranny rebuild is going well.

I'd love to go diesel - once the funds are there. It's not a gain in horsepower but torque that interests me most.

Compared to the 2.25 petrol, it has plenty of that. I definately need more seat time, but so far I 'm extremely happy with the results. Now, just need to get the exhaust squared away.

Ahh, I don't want to incriminate myself just incase my wife ever sees this, but just about the same amount
as my 2.25 rebuild after the machine work and assembly. You might be able to do it for less. think i just saw
300 tdi on d90 for less than 3000.

I should have checked first. There's a turbo and manifold on "defendersource" and its a 200 tdi from
a discovery at 2500 on Land rover exchange. Sorry bout that.
