Ummm, Steve?,
It's a Land Rover, (back into trees!!!!), "I'll go first", "hold my beer and watch this!" (PA only!), the parking break would have been most certainly enhanced by a rectagular piece of wood at the ready, it's older than most of us and most definitley our children!, plus it's really, really old and been through Hell and back again!
I'm sure there is an un-adulterated,straight, rear tub Somewhere!, maybe even in the states! But I'd be very hard pressed to be able to find it in a post on the Rovers club forum.
I can check with new found relatives in Kettering, Coventry, and Country Antrim if you're intersted in paying the shipping charges!? Let me know. May even call for a trip across the pond! I found out on a recent trip to the U.K. that I've got relatives that we've hadn't heard from since 1927! They've already found me many missing things such as the Tax stamp sticker/holder and the the large red letter "L" learners sticker affixed to vehicles driven by new drivers, which I so deserved!!!!!
Let me know!

Steve,
The only ones I've heard of over the years have been in Canada. There was a guy who was interested in my red '53 fire tender who had bought several 80"s and had parts. I'll look up his contact details (he's in the Series One Club and he wrote an article a few issues back) and pass them along via a PM.

Steve have you tried putting out a notice on the bigger forums like D90 or G&R, etc? Might also want to put a call into Ike or George at RoversDownSouth.

Or Steve, to save money, simply get a large cardboard box from an appliance store and a pack of thumbtacks (faux rivets) and build your own? You can buy Bronze Green in spray cans from Rovers North. Really, until the first tree or downpour, their wouldn't be a chap that could tell if it was old unused airplane aluminum(Bermabright) or some high quality pressed corregated paper product! There are some really good Amish fab shops around here, it's a shame we can't get a good schematical print of the dimensions for the simpler body parts of the early series trucks. I'm sure Elvin and Jacob Stoltzfus King could make some real good quality repro's!

PM sent to Steve because there's a 1953 80" basket case on Land Rover Exchange (4 Sept) . . .

Steve, everything you need appears to be listed here on eBay for a listing in NY/Canada. Hope that helps. I was there when you hit the tree...twice. :-(

Very good spot for Steve and had me excited about the truck cab (even after I saw it's a 7-hour drive) but that's a later Series I, either 86" or 88", based on the dashboard. The 80" rear box is smaller by several inches.
