I know a few of you have attended this, so thought I would post it. I should be able to go this year since I have no weddings to attend!

If we get enough people maybe we can create a ROVERS camp. I can certainly show folks the good spots in the state forest for trails/camping.

I don't see myself doing any overlanding anytime soon but I would still like to check it out. It isn't too far from where I live and I would love to see some good camping spots and trails. I'm going to keep an eye on it when it gets closer before I give a hard "I'm in".

If I can get my rear squared away by then I'm in. Going to have to hold off on our own outting too until then.

I believe Max and Andrea are away at skin camp that week, so it'll be me and the puppy. Michael, we'll get you going before then, and enough time for you to come here to take QQ back home!

Bumping this thread up since we talked about it at the picnic this weekend.

We are free that weekend. Would people at least like to meet up for Saturday and do some trail riding?

They haven't posted the schedule of events and classes yet. I would very much like to go green-laning and attend some classes!
Luna and I will be there!

As I have never been to one of these before, is it worth the 55 bucks for a day pass if one really has no budget for overlanding things? I would be interested in camping and trail riding but maybe not if I have to pay 105 for it....

If you want to trail ride skip the festival and just come up for the day on Saturday to the state forest and meet us somewhere.

If you want to camp get one of the free spots in the state forest.

Now that they've posted their schedule, it looks like there is stuff I would be interested in seeing Friday evening, but not many classes Saturday. Saturday afternoon looks to be the best time (IMO) to head out and explore the area.

Exploring on Saturday is what interests me most. I'm sure the classes are all good but playing will be better.

I have family stuff Friday and Sunday, so will only be available Saturday.

How about we meet at 10:30 at the PA Military Museum in Boalsburg? This is a good location for the guys coming from the Overland Festival and those coming from State College. It's also a good jumping off point for the State Forest. Meet at the Sherman Tank, you'll see it from the road.

Be sure you are gassed up (there's one close to the musuem) and have food. Depending where we go and how long we spend out there it's possible to cover 50-100 miles in a day with 75-80% on dirt.

Hate to but I'm bugging out too. Number of reasons but the heat and distance from home are amongst them. Maybe this fall.

I'm heading up Friday morning and staying for the weekend. Too hot for the dog, so I'm solo.
