Greetings All,
I am hoping for a decent shop day to strip a SIII, break down a 3.9, and get a SIIa running. If anyone else has something to add to the list, let me know. I've got a decent assortment of tools and a better assortment of beer, so come on down.

Hey Jason, I might be down for stopping by.. I've never wrenched or seen anyone wrench on a Series before so it's going to be a learning experience.. PM me with directions, i'm coming from Northern Jersey. Thanks!

That makes two of us.;)

I'm glad Sean, Ken, and Keith will be joining us because aside from operating the bottle opener on the front bumper, I don't have any experience with the IIa. Hopefully Tom will be joining us as well. Michael, you know where I live, right? I'll send directions anyway.

Wish I could make it that day but my parents are coming to visit that day.

At the rate I'm going if that SIII has a working transmission I am happy to accept donations.;)

Perhaps you can help me install an opener on the dash since the one on the bumper is terribly inconvenient while driving.:D

G -- how'd you make out this weekend?

I didn't. Now it won't go into first gear instead of second.

I guess if I wanted to be an optimist I could call that progress but I never have been a glass is half full kind of guy.

Still not certain if I am working, so I may or may not be there.

Nevertheless, what time will the festivities begin? End?

Looks like I am off work and should be able to make it to Jason's.

Again, what time?

Do we need to bring any tools? Other stuff?

This will be my first shop day so I'm not sure what to bring.

Michael, figure around 8'ish. I was on LBI last weekend and it took 1 1/2 hours with light traffic, so you shouldn't have that long of a drive. No tools needed, just intelligence and experience, both of which I've misplaced.

Sean, I still don't know what happened to your hand? How'd you break it?

Jason -- I may not make it afterall. I've been working doubles all week (7-11 coaching then 11-10 on my ice cream route) and it's caught up with me. Tomorrow AM who knows how I will be feeling then.

Here's the progression of one project. The Series III was dismantled, chopped, parted out, and disposed of. The IIa didn't see any love, nor did the 3.9. Thank God for air tools, though! Otherwise, we'd still be hacking away. Next shop day will see the IIa running. I'm very optimistic!

Looks impressive! Hope I can make it to the, "get the IIa running day!"
