HI John,
Well, we can't always gaurantee the weather, I simply asked for it not to rain, and got my wish.

I am and I will. I have been sooooooo busy lately at work that I haven't had a chance to relax and do the things I really enjoy doing (messing around on the computer is one). I will post a message on muddyoval today.

Is start time 9:00 or 10:00? Also, for vendors, how do they go about paying the $7.00 fee, and do they get a table or anything? And are vendors required to be members of ROVERS?

Hi, Ryan. Is the vendor you are talking about a certain Mr. Vigg??? :) Everyone is invited to buy and sell their Land Rover wares. No membership is required. I believe vendors will see Tom Bache and set up paying the vendors fee of $7.00. As a quick note to everyone, only Land Rover products, please. No bicycle parts, dish towels, etc. :) (inside joke that only Tom would understand). This swap meet is going to be pretty great.

Just back from the Sortout. Whoever didn't attend, you missed a pretty nice get together. Ryan, I am sorry but I didn't realize, I wanted to introduce you to all the guys (Jason-ROVERS Prez, Tom Bache, Frank Battersby, etc). As usual, my mind is always thinking of 1000 different things at a time and I find I forget to do the important things. I am sorry. Tom, I already mounted and balanced the tires. They are in really good condition, all things considered. I think I can get at least 1 good year out of these tires. The tire guy said that they were fine. Just 1 had a flat but he took it back off the rim and put a patch in it (the correct way to fix a tire) and then he balanced and mounted all of them. Total price for flat, balance, mounting, and disposing of the old tires was only $60, so I think I got an awesome deal. Thanks so much. My old tires were an accident waiting to happen. Now I can relax for a bit until I move, then I can get the monster mudders that I really wanted. That '04 Defender was really something. If I ever hit the Mega Millions, that's the one I'll get.

Much thanks to Tom and Mira for organizing a stellar
event! The signs were a great touch. Next year will
certainly be even bigger and better. For those of you
who were unable to attend, you will have an
opportunity to join us at the same venue, a
magnificent retreat with wonderful amenities, for our
10th anniversary picnic on Saturday, September 17th.
There will be plenty of activities for children of all
ages, great food, and good times. There will be
awards for the furthest traveled Rover without A/C,
and the most quarts of oil used for the trip. Special
t-shirts will be available as well as stickers, and
everyone's favorite, membership renewals! Please RSVP
as soon as possible to:
