Hey gang,
I'm looking at March 31st for a shop day in Bridgewater, NJ. Frank and I (O.K., Frank and Pete) were able to get the tranny out but we ran out of time and steam by the time I finished work. We still have the interior to gut, engine to pull, and other odds and ends to harvest. Four or five volunteers would be the perfect amount of hands to get the job completed in a managable 6 or 7 hours. As always, lunch and bev included and no need to bring tools other than your own gloves. If someone has a light project requiring a lift, feel free to bring it along as we are not using it. I'd like to get started around 8:00. PM me with questions or for directions.
Thanks,
Jason

PS - The 24th is also a possibility, but I won't be able to help much. I'll be there, but working in the office. If anyone wants to poke around on the 24th, let me know.

I'll plan on being there, but for somewhat selfish reasons - I still want those seats!

Jason - I realized it was just as well that we didn't get the seats out - there was NO room left in the car for them!

I was so frustrated, I was about to get in there with the sledge, but realized I had 0 energy left. There has to be an easier way. If we could figure out how to power the motor and expose the bolts, I think it would be a piece of cake.

Take a cordless drill battery and connect it to the switch or directly to the motor.

I am pretty sure I can make it on the 31st. I will get directions at the gathering on Wednesday at CR Inn. Maybe someone can tell me what the new noise is I picked-up at Ringwood. My winch is now fixed. Fortunately it was just a loose connection.

See you there Joe. The shop is not even 2 miles from Chimney Rock Inn (actually right off of Chimney Rock rd at rt 28).

Joe it was good to have met you at CR Inn. I think your exhaust noise might be a loose nut in the manifold to y-pipe connection.

I am planning on being there on Saturday too. Someone pm me the address.

Ryan and Abraham - This is the same garage we met at a few weeks ago.

580 Union ave (rt 28) in Bridgewater. Directly across from Elliott's Beverage on the corner of Chimney Rock Rd.

I think Jason is planning to be there around 8am and I'll probably be there about that time as well. Sleep hasn't been much of a priotity lately.

See you guys there.

We're still on, and Frank beat me to it posting the address. Same place as last time. Joe said he's bringing the donuts, and Jeff may be cooking for lunch, if we're lucky.

Dan you can always meet me at my place or Ryan's and we can head down together. Faster from my place though. I just take the Parkway to I78.

Faster by 1 minute and .8 miles from you! I jump 280 to 287... I think it's faster for him to go straight there as we're both north of him.

Abe, what time you planning on leaving to go down?

Dan, it's fastest if you cut through SI and take the Outerbridge to 287.

yeah when i mapped it it looks like SI was the way to go. but then again NJ traffic might not be as bad if i cut over the tunnel

Thanks Joe.

My friend Gwie will be coming down with me. For those of you who know him, you know this is a big milestone. It's very hard to get him to come out and play. End of story, for now. LOL

If Gwie doesn't start coming out more often - I am going to ' permanently borrow' that Safari Gard bumper of his.

Great day. I think the best part about all that work is the fact that nothing was going back on. :D

it was great meeting everyone! Jason, you have a great club going here; everyone was nice and helpful and we all enjoyed seeing that Range get smashed in and dragged out! haha.

Ryan thanks again for the blinkers...now we will know how to wire them up when you get your Defender! :)

Abe, these new lights are so bright, i love them!

Looks like fun, and to think I took apart a gas grill yesterday and brought it home from mom's house instead. I just want captions with the pictures so I can tell by looking who everyone is.

Thanks for the picture comment. Joe helped out too.
