I got all the VW ones correctly. It was the movie ones and early american ones that I sucked at.

hecht ya, my best friend in high school drove one. Good times in that car.

For the record I owned one VW and it was water-cooled. It drove great and was even better at breaking down.

I'm truly embarrassed to admit I got the VW microbus question wrong.:o We had one growing up, a 1979 brown and tan 4 speed with factory a/c! It had a Porsche 914 engine transplanted, which sounds good in theory, but still didn't get the job done. It was the vehicle I learned how to drive stick on at the tender age of 9. It was also the vehicle of choice when giving out of town family and friends the NYC tour with the side door and the 4' sunroof open wide. Just like the terrorists in "Back to the Future" coming after their stolen plutonium. We were a bunch of southwestern rubes gaping at the big buildings, hookers, and homeless while trying to "blend in" and not get rolled. Good times! Now I can add it to the list of vehicles I truly miss. Number 4 with a bullet.

HHMM, well I believe you had a bus, and not a micro..I think they were from the 50-60's era, usually split windshield, and early ones had pop out fronts as well...the Porsche transplant....gotta love the pancake motors, we used to fit them with "BUSBOYS" front spindle drops and slam them into the weeds....big subs, tint...you get the picture.

HHMM, well I believe you had a bus, and not a micro..

Forgive me, I was nine. Besides, if you were stuck in one from NJ to TX with your whole family, you'd call it micro too.;)
