Hello all. I finally made it to the board..... I have talked with a few of you at Tom's, at the Avondale Sortouts, or replied to your posts on the G&R board.

I have a few Rovers in our clump of vehicles:

'96 Disco SE7 daily driver.
'80 SIII 109 3 door.
'75 SIII 88 V8.
'66 SIIA 109 V8 three door.
'6? SIIA pickup.

The '75 SIII 88 and the '66 SIIA 109 have 3.9 Rover V8's installed, the SIII with an adapter using the original trans, the SIIA with an R380 5 speed and RR disc brake axles.

The '75 was my daily driver until I rolled it several times last September, after a kid turned into me. It will be rebuilt. The '66 SIIA 109 is almost completed, after 2 years of building. It will likely be the wife's daily driver. The '80 SIII was a recent purchase, to drive until I can rebody the rolled '75. The SIIA pickup might end up on a LWB RR chassis..... Too many projects, too little time.

I am another Pa. guy, living south of York.

Bob

Due to prior committments I can't make Robesonia. Oh well..... One of these weekends I will make a Rovers event, other than the Sortout.

Sorry,
Bob

Airville, only 45 minutes away at top speed from me. Welcome to the fray. I've been here something like 2 months but so far haven't gotten banned.

Your picture is looking south from the post office..... We're about 5 miles from there, down by the river. There is a fellow in Red Lion with a D110, a SIIA 88 and a Disco II. Never met him. Another fellow out by the York Country Club has a SIIA 88, never met him either. No other Disco owners anywhere nearby.

Ahhh, you might be surprised, we have several members in the York area floating around here.

With 5 official members, York is the most well represented city/town in our club! Be proud.

I think that's Andrew with the 110 and Series. The DII is at Harrisburg traded in on a Disco 3 for his wife , who works at Mike Snyder's Merc shop in York.

Then theres the Kollers in Glen Rock with a DII, a modified DI and an 88.

Oh, and Philip Cooke of Triple C, the company that makes a lot of British coffee mugs, t-shirts, and other cool stuff who has a DI in West York.

Plus, the Land Rover salvage yard, Octagon Spares, in Red Lion.

I'm over in E-town with my DI, RRC and a D90. Rovers are everywhere!

I have seen plenty of Rovers up in the 'big city', there just aren't any others down here in the boonies. Jeff at Octogon Spares is a good friend. I have bought piles of parts, and at least 4 vehicles from him over the years.

I remember someone in Glen Rock buying a HCPU few years ago. I lost track of that one, too.
