What do you guys know about these? I am looking at a 1962 Series IIA 88" Station Wagon on ebay and am interested on your thoughts about these conversions. I am selling my '94 D90 and am ready to get into a true classic! Also my Rangie told me she is going to be lonely:(

You have a link to the thread? If it is the truck I am thinking about it is very nice.

That engine swap was pretty common and seems to be a good swap for the Land Rover.

The RD conversion is a good one if done right. Here is a link to more info, although I do not know how accurate the pricing is in today's dollars.

I think RD set about to offer the maximum HP/torque you can put behind the Series trans... and convenient parts supply.

If you buy it and want a original spec 2.25l, I'll swap you mine (25k miles).

Its not for sale anymore on ebay but I am trying to contact the seller.
