I'm going to be at the annual picnic and swap meet.

I have a 64 IIa that I would like to move ...

She was a conquering beast in the Mojave desert in the mid 90's. I rebuilt the engine just before heading East in '95. The bodies rough, the gearbox bit-the-dust on our cross country jaunt in '95, the rebuilt engine has about 5K miles and was intermittently started over the past few years prior to me canablizing the electronic ignition for my '73. The frame is solid with East Coast Surface rust .... I'd categorize her as a parts car at this point.

I live about 6 miles away from Avondale ... bring a trailer and she's yours.

Damn, I'd really love to see Evan get that. His frame is swiss cheese, well, almost that good.

If there are dibs, I call it for Evan.

If Evan doesn't want it, I'll bring my trailer. I'd gladly take that off your hands.

Evan lost his login....he would love to have it and swap out the rails. We'll have to figure out a way to get it to him. I'm shopping for a trailer or we'll rent one and do the dragging......

Steve, pm me a phone number please.....

My frame does need a bit of TLC.. It would be great to have a donnor car to fix Rover up with .. Will it fit in my minivan? j/k ..
I'll figure a way to get it out of your yard.. You need it removed by the AGM in Avondale?

It's roughly 75 miles...... We'd have to do that 4 times...easier to rent a trailer for 50 or so bucks and do it twice.... but appreciate the offer.

Looked at a trailer today, only 76 inches between the wheel wells, a Classic is 72...a little too tight for comfort.

A mutual friend just sold his car trailer for under a grand.....ouch.

I'll get one.

Back to e-bay.

My frame does need a bit of TLC.

Yes, body twist was not part of the original design.

Steve, Evan is trying to get in touch with you....we're trying to set up a trailer for Saturday if that's convenient.... Now I think Evan has misplaced log-in capability here, so could you pm me a contact #?

Most obliged....

I could drag it back here till you are ready and then just haul it to Evans.

I cannot attend the meeting as I will be in Baltimore but if Trevor could get it to my place I would bring it to Evans on Sunday or whenever

Hey Oscar - did you see the thread (http://forum.roversclub.org/forum/showthread.php?t=785&highlight=trailer) about the trailer for sale $1200?

It appears as though we are going to drive Big Blue (the 'Burban) to the event, buy a trailer, and load the IIa on it and drive home......

Man, there's adventure potential in that mission.....:D

My offer still stands, if others don't pan out:
I will gladly bring the Rangie and the trailer, pick up the Series and bring it back to my house. I'll probably need a hand getting it on to the trailer if it doesn't run, as I don't have awinch on the trailer.
Randy has offered to take it to Evan's from my house sometime after that.

She's ready to go in my backyard. I'll be at the event Saturday and flex to whatever mode of travel/trailering comes along to start the journey to Evan's.

Just let me know what you decide.

I just want to say thanks for this offer. Excellent story behind it, and a club member could really use it. I'm impressed and I think this really what a good club is all about.

Evan, it's official, I hate you :)
