I have seen in my travels around York, PA a 1969 Series 2 A 88" wheelbase hardtop Rover. It is a military green colour and inspected until 3/08 in PA. On sign in window is $7500 and 717-848-9891. I think they are kinda nuts to ask that much, it looks OK and tires seem newish but it just sounds high to me. Opinions?

Take a Series guy with you to look at it. Prices are all over the board, and if you don't know what to look for....

Rob,

Is it near York College? My dad said he saw one for sale up there and it was green too.

Although I thought he said the one he saw was a 109 pick-up.

That Rover sits very near to the home of this Rover: http://www.eastcoastrover.com/67.html

If it is the same owner and has been cared for/restored like his other vehicles. it is a good deal.

East Coast Rovers did some work on my 95 RR LWB. Great guys, great work, but it takes forever! Working with them is like sending your Rover on a long vacation to Maine! Here is the link: http://www.eastcoastrover.com/132.html

Unfortunately, it is not up in Springfield, MA getting the engine rebuild by John Robison...I may as well get a Series!

Galen, The 110 you posted belongs to Dr. Paul Sipe. That other one for sale on Grantley Rd does not belong to him. The only Rover Paul has left is the 110 camper. He sold the 94 D90 to me (which I sold later) also I sold his show quality series 3 for him at Hershey a few years ago. He sold his series one and his forward control also. He bought one of those huge Earth Romer Camper on the Ford F550 chassis. The thing is unreal. Last I talked to him he was thinking of selling that as well. The 110 has been through several changes since the ECR conversion. It has had another Diesel installed and is now an automatic. Paul is a fantastic guy and really knows his Rovers and knows how to use them off road. The 110 has been everywhere in this country. Scott 97Xd

That 110 Tdi camper is the phat-est Land Rover ever. That is a sweet-ass Dormobile x 10^6.

....I went in search of the IIA last night as I live near there, but didn't see it. Is it northside or southside of Country Club?

Made a quick run home this weekend and saw this truck in the dark. It's a late IIa and has a Defender bumper and Defender doortops (or Rocky Mountain ones with the slanted glass). From what I could see it looked to be in really good shape.

I think I met this guy two or three years ago at one of our swap meets. He was from York but had a real thick southern accent. Anyway, I believe this is the same truck, but there was no for sale sign on it when I came through.
