So as you all know.. Paragon as we once knew it had to shut down due to the airport coming in.. but then we had the salvation that they opened a new park, Paragon 2 .. which consisted of trail rides.. we hoped to plan a group run there.. but apparently, it is no longer according to this thread: http://www.bmja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=24664

So our only salvation, other than private land and 'risky' wheeling, in the area is Rausch Creek and Pine Barrens/Wharton.

Figures - I finally get a truck to wheel and we loose 1 out of 3 places to go. Raush was awsome though I wish I had seen paragon when it was open.

There's also the Sproul Forest in Central PA. There are appr 300+ miles of legal trails throughout the forest. Mostly fire roads and such but there is one trail that follows and old railroad bed. It has 17 river crossings and and a bunch of old RR bridges and even a tunnel you can drive through!

Sven, that sounds pretty cool. Do you have more information? How far is it from Philly?

There is also George Washington National Forest (http://www.fs.fed.us/r8/gwj/recreation/ohv/index.shtml) in the Harrisonburg Virginia area. It has been years since I've been down there, and there isn't anything terribly challenging, but there are some easy tomoderate trails, and it is pretty, with nice camping areas.

Savage River State Park (http://www.dnr.state.md.us/publiclands/western/savageriver.asp#) out in Western Maryland is an option as well, but again, haven't been there in years, and there is nothing too challenging...

Most of the trails have been closed down there or are now so messed up from overuse.
