The very newish stock 2.25 starts to stall when coming to a quick stop, or slow down. This usually only happens after driving for about an hour or so. The engine temp seems not to be any different. 3 year old Rochester on there.

Any thoughts?

bad plugs, water in gas, idle too low???

only things that have ever caused that on my cars

i'm not too familiar with carbs since my '62 impala's is dead reliable (knock on wood).

A simple, quiet stall, or a studdering/bucking stall?

Well it must be something simple, right ;)

If I run one tanks down to near-empty, my 109 starts to buck/surge - that's my final signal to switch tanks.

How is your idle?

Do you run a fuel filter? Does it look clean? Did you put it in with the carb, or a later modification?

What about the fuel pump glass bowl?

tank is 1/2 full, fuel filter is clean and so is the glass bowl. It really only happens after driving for awhile, which is the confusing part.

Did you check your vacuum lines? Mine was doing this for a while and the vacuum line had broken off at the elbow on the distributor.

Have that too sometimes. A light tap on the accellerator right as you depress the clutch for standstill takes care of it. It's a form of automotive apnea.

Sean - take a look at this thread on GnR:

Sean,

Does it start right up again and idle like nothing was wrong? Check your vacuum advance, make sure things move nicely.
