Keeping that thing alive is why the site board has failed to really take off.

I think the board has done quite well. Our club has 150-160 members at any given time and we have 300+ registered users here. Even at its height the yahoo list had something like 150 messages a month and we probably do that no problem.

The real shame is the people with the knowledge that won't come here.

But still, you should give Tom a heads up. He is the president and in control of the purse strings.

Sean -- I'm not trying to ruffle feathers and such about either logo. I've tossed this out there and am looking for feedback. I understand your point about egos and such -- which is why I had originally asked who designed and what was the story behind the current logo thread. Plus, with some of the responses to a that thread I thought that some people were interested in something "new."

Dude, just print some up, offer them for sale on the board like I used to do with the t-shirts. Cover your costs and give the rest back to the club. It's no big deal. The official club stickers are $5 for both the decal and the banner. No one will give you a hard time for taking the initiative and making a sticker. Really.;)

Tom B. has always supplied the stickers. The banners are from Don, and the postcards are from vistaprint. I'm sure you could go online and find someone to print your sticker if you upload the gif.

I've been talking things over with Tom and we are going to mention the sticker change in the next newsletter. We will let people respond that way or on the poll I created in this thread.

Sean, cal we make the poll a sticky or put it somewhere more obvious -- I'd like to get as many votes as I can to ensure that the new stickers will be liked by a majority of members.

maybe a foot in the mouth...... but I joined as a rover member maybe 4 years ago but havn't since, but....... I keep buying land rovers that have the "rovers" sticker on them does that count me as being member? :)

wow, just noticed that the first post in this thread was back in 2007. SLOW down what's the rush. Also just noticed that the rover is driving in top of what looks suspiciously like Table Mountain so it definitely needs to be made. I know a guy who knows a guy so I'll look into it.

You can get these online most anywhere. They make custom stickers like this relatively cheap - even for just one.
