    Default Just curious? Cost to rebuild 4.6?

    Just wondering what approx it will cost to have somebody remove, rebuild and reinstall 4.6. Mine hasnt died but just curious. I see refurbs are 4K+. Thanks!

    The last 4.0 (basically the same engine) with bearings, seals, rings, gaskets, camshaft and lifters, machining, labor in and out, timing chain, fluids, new hoses clamps etc. (171k on engine) that I performed was over 6k.
