    Default Series III Breakfast

    If anyone is interested.
While my truck is in pieces...through no fault of my own , I decided to fix my breakfast (rusted out, especially at the bottom). As John Gerding is not making any new stainless breakfasts, because of the cost, I decided to get mine fixed. Took it to a fab shop and after hearing " well what we'll do is cut this out and weld in angle" ...I took it to a rod shop. After being informed it would cost about $700 to fix I started searching online. I couldn't find anyone who had a new one until I found Stephen at Safari Rover in Florida( nice guy). He had 4 NOS, I got one and after seam sealing everything and three coats of Bronze Green I have a new breakfast for about $200. I have his number if anyone needs it.

FWIW, AB still lists them online. Do they not have them anymore?

mmmm...don't know how I missed that. oops. I just went and checked AB and luckily I only paid $165 for the actual breakfast, the rest of the money was for seam sealer, primer and hardware...at least I don't feel too stupid

Well if it makes you feel any better, the AB one is most likely an aftermarket piece and the one you bought from SR was a NOS (genuine ?). You feel better now?
