    Default New Rover

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a dead battery. That is how my relationship with my new Land Rover started.

We just became the proud owners of a '04 Discovery HSE. Pictures to follow maybe tomorrow, dunno yet. Anyway, Black on black neat machine. Makes our '96 Disco look like cat doo-doo.

It's always nice to start with the cheap easy parts! Congrats.

    Rob,

Ah-ha, now I see your interest in my similar maneuvering. Are you keeping the D-1? As time goes by, I'm wondering more about the point you made in terms of what to take off-roading. Maybe my plan needs to be revised . . .

It's a great time to buy a used Rover. Let's hope for oil at $85/barrel by the end of the year, and we'll look pretty clever.

Yeppers, I am keeping my D-1. Took some pictures of them together for the first time in the driveway today. After posting this I am going to try to upload them into the site. I now have a bone fida four wheeling Rover that the Mrs. can't say, "That's the nice vehicle, you can't scratch or dent it!"
